Take3 Theatre Schools provide part-time performing arts training to young people aged between 6 and 18.  The schools at Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy and Linlithgow run at weekends to provide three hours of professional tuition for students in the disciplines of Acting, Singing and Dancing.

The school runs over three 12 week terms per year when students are coached by professional tutors and performers to prepare them for a career in the performing arts, to provide a stepping stone to more advanced study of the arts or simply to provide a creative outlet,  a great new interest and lots of fun.

The school aims to provide a wide range of performing opportunities which has included competitive drama with Ghost Writer and the musical Romeo & Juliet in which both Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy Schools won trophies in 2007 for their performances in the Scottish Community Drama Association Festival, musical theatre including Hansel & Gretel and Guys & Dolls Junior; and competitions such as an “X-Factor” style contest.  All genres of dance is covered, anything from ballet and tap to street, modern stage, jazz and hip hop.   Students have also taken part in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Take3 is set to become an examination centre for LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) giving students a real opportunity at an early stage of working towards a future career in the performing arts.
